Shoveclock
Free Poker Tournament Timer
What is Shoveclock?
Shoveclock is a free, browser-based poker tournament clock built for Tournament Directors (TDs) and home game hosts. It manages blind levels, prize pools, late registration, and chip color-ups — everything you need to run a professional poker tournament without installing any software.
It runs entirely in your web browser on any device (PC, Mac, smartphone, tablet, Smart TV) and supports 7 languages out of the box. Sign-in with Google is optional — required only for syncing multiple displays in the cloud.
Why does Shoveclock request Google sign-in?
Google sign-in is completely optional. All core timer features (blind levels, prize pools, late registration, color-up wizard) work without any account. Sign-in is only needed if you want to use cloud-synced features described below.
What data does Shoveclock access from your Google account?
When you sign in with Google, Shoveclock requests only basic profile information. Each piece of data has a specific purpose:
- Email address
Used to identify your account so your tournament settings, blind structures, and saved presets can be loaded across devices. Also used to send you important account notifications (e.g., security alerts).
- Display name
Shown in the user menu of the admin interface so you can confirm which account is signed in. Not displayed to other users or spectators.
- Profile picture URL
Shown as a small avatar in the admin interface header (visual confirmation of signed-in account). Not displayed to other users or spectators.
What Shoveclock does NOT access: Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, YouTube, Photos, Maps history, or any other Google service. Shoveclock requests only the standard email and profile scopes — no sensitive or restricted scopes are used.
What does signing in unlock?
Sign-in is purely for syncing your data between your own devices and sharing views with others at your tournament:
- Cloud-saved tournament settings — Resume on a different device or browser without re-entering blind structure and player counts.
- Remote display sync — Cast the timer to a separate screen (e.g., your phone or a Smart TV in another room) by scanning a QR code.
- Spectator read-only URL — Share a public link so spectators can view the live timer state without controlling it.
- Saved presets — Store custom blind structures and reuse them in future tournaments.
